We have been interested in home solar generation for a long time because it is a virtually limitless environmentally friendly energy source. After initial investment it provides some insulation from rising costs of other energy sources. Yukon Government financial support and smooth Solvest processing and installation tipped the balance for us. The ATCO bill for our house for July was zero, a first. That was quite welcome. For someone considering going solar I would say that the Solvest and YG programs arewell run. It is a wonderful feeling to be reducing our environmental footprint and saving a few bucks in the long run.
Before we got our 10.4Kw system, we relied completely on the grid. Once we got our system installed, we also put in a heat pump and purchased an electric car. The power from our solar system helps displace energy we consume with these new electric based options. Solvest was highly professional to work with. They communicated clearly, were very helpful, provided us with the right resources to understand our installation and followed through on all their commitments.
