Self Reliance, Sustainability, Community Involvement

Self-Reliance: Electricity prices are only increasing as more demand is put on our grids and more power is used. This is why we strive to make our systems as efficient as possible and future-proof them.

Sustainability: Solar is hassle free, with no moving parts and minimal maintenance, it’s a simple solution to an ever growing problem, energy consumption. Many other renewable energies exist today but cannot be utilized on such a diverse scale as solar can. Put it on your shed, put in on your business, built an entire solar farm. The only thing that changes is how many panels you need.

Community Involvement: Solvest stands for solar investment. You are not just investing in a technology, but you are investing in your people. Many of our First Nations projects have been in direct partnership with their citizens, electricians, carpenters and labourers. The process involves so many more parties than just council and Solvest.

The Environmental Aspect of Solar

Why is it that many fossil fuel companies use solar to power their buildings? It’s because they see the longevity, the positive environmental impact and efficiency of solar. The main ingredient in solar modules is silicon, it is the second most abundant element in the Earth’s crust.  Solar energy does not produce any harmful by-products in generating electricity. As we reduce our fossil fuel sources throughout the world, more reliance on solar and other renewables will be needed.

Solar Energy Financing Options

Financing options exist to make solar not only a sound investment but an affordable one. Some of the systems that we have designed clients are even able to outpace their payment amounts. Meaning that from Day 1, these clients are cash positive. Other incentives exist for larger partners that we can outline.

CropBox Solution

When we started this company we were trying to solve one problem, energy in the North. Once we started our operations and saw the overnight success of solar we soon realized there was another issue facing remote locations all over Canada, food security. That is why we partnered with CropBox to bring it to Canada. With so many First Nations communities relying on traditional foods, combined with produce transported thousands of kilometres we decided to increase food security in the North.
